I very much enjoyed seeing the gang together for another run a risk. This moving-picture show was very different than American movies. It felt like 5-half dozen episodes put together with a slow story build to the big finish. American movies would have cut more out to get you to the finish faster. Visually, they went the whole 9 yards to make it wait really cool. The catastrophe was a huge fan service to fans of SAO i and 2.
I did detect 1 weird thing virtually the story. In the series, Kirito was studying stuff to make amend games and talked virtually the only difference between a VR and the existent world was the amount of information. Based on his studies, I thought he should have been totally into an augmented reality game that blended the two. He wasn't.

After watching the series and falling in love with information technology I happened to stumble upon this gem and loved it just as much if not more than the series. It's the perfect melding of SAO, ALO, GGO, and our world. It does the series justice.

Long time fan and this motion-picture show did not disappoint! I ordinarily watch JPN Dub with subs and I couldn't figure out how to change information technology simply it didn't matter because the English vocalisation actors did an astonishing job. Quality and length were everything y'all would want in an animated film.

Pro: Asuna developed a little more of a personality beyond just being Kirito'south love interest
Con: Kirito becomes, overnight, an unbeatable monster once more and undoes all the graphic symbol development that everyone else experienced
Pro: The concept of augmented reality is cool and interesting
Con: Like the serial they don't delve into the implications of invasive technology enough, only simply hinting at information technology as the plot rushes along.
Pretty much, it certain is SAO. Yah love information technology and hate it at the same time.

I've always liked SAO - it'due south my favorite anime, while recognizing how many other great ones there are. It's got a sugariness, measured writing and teased innocence about it that is surprisingly difficult to replicate. The first season is a gem, with the well-nigh satisfying ending that any serial, live activity or non, could learn from; leave the viewer like afterward a Michelin meal in an upscale only not pretentions locale.
I put off watching this considering of the English dubs just finally caved - I couldn't find the original Japanese version anywhere convenient and I wanted to become to the season 3, which this precedes. The phonation acting is perfectly adequate, subsequently you get used to not hearing it Japanese.
The story is great, nicely paced and as good as y'all tin can tell in the time constraints. It also sets upward (presumably) the events of the season three. If you like the SAO, this is a perfect addition and it'southward hard to imagine any fan having anything but passing criticisms.

Keen moving-picture show! Yous demand to watch the first SOA series to really appreciate it. There are past characters from other SOAs too but seeing the showtime series before the moving-picture show is a must in my stance.

Seeing this film brought back all the emotions triggered when I watched SAO for
the first fourth dimension. My just objection to the series was that it ended and so abruptly. This movie
brings the story to a much more satisfactory conclusion. Bonus: you lot finally go to run across
the boss from Floor 100!

The animation and storyline is very compelling, given that we alive in an era where we are nearing for the ability to have total interactive gaming. What I did non like is that a lot of the female characters are sexually suggestive in their clothing and behavior. Not really for little kids.
